Son of Abraham, Second-Generation Patriarch in the Hebrew Bible
The Hebrew Bible records that Isaac was the promised son born to Abraham and his wife Sarah in old age, who as a child was nearly offered as a sacrifice by his father before God provided a ram in his place.
